Crown Chakra

Crown Chakras - God and the universe - It is here that we can connect to universal energy and gain spiritual insights and knowingness about God. We can access truth, we can sense and know the oneness that exists in and through all things. It is here that we open to experience the presence of God. It is our connection to the whole of creation. Through this centre we receive universal energies that need to be transformed throughout our chakra system. It is one thing to become aware of the subtle and beautiful energies through the crown chakra, it is another to bring them down to earth and live them in our daily lives. There is often a discrepancy between our thinking mind, and the oneness that we can know and sense in meditation. Spiritual knowledge is gained through the crown chakra, it is where we can gain access to our soul. (See section on Soul for more details).

In many, the crown chakra is only partially open, as focus tends to be more in the lower chakras which are more connected with physical reality. To start to live more spiritually, and to become spiritually aware, the higher chakras need to be open and functioning. When the crown chakra is partially closed a one-sided view of our world is seen and lived. When the chakra is open and the universal messages of truth, harmony, love, peace and justice is accessed, a more expansive view of life is seen, and a shift of consciousness takes place. When it is closed, we see ourselves as separate from the world we live in. When it is open, we learn that we are a part of everything. This in turn makes us act in a different way towards ourselves and our world.

Each chakra does have its own particular set of imbalances associated with it. The crown chakra can become too open and when this occurs there can be a lot of talk about spiritual and mystical experiences, but not the ability to bring the lessons and knowledge into everyday life. Also, there can be too much detachment from physical reality. Before it is safe for this chakra to open more fully, it is necessary for the lower chakras to be functioning correctly and we must be sure of our base, our home life, our work and our play.

The physical part of the body connected to the crown chakra is our brain and mind. It is in our mind that we build structures based on our knowledge of God. We may have rigid ideas through our upbringing and society with attachment to many rituals and patterns of worship and praise. Thoughts about the superiority of a chosen religion against another, judgements and critisisms about other religions, may all form part of these patterns. When the crown chakra truly opens, the house of God is found to be in the individual self. The crown chakra and the Presence that can be attained through it, is beyond religion. Religion may at best provide a route to it. Rituals in themselves, are only a way of providing a route for true spirituality or contact with the Divine to develop. Reliance on religious or spiritual literature can only take us so far and only have value if the words transport us into a state of mind where we can access the Divine within. There is no use saying a 'creed' or set prayer as part of a ritual if it does not lead you internally to the Divine within yourself. Far better to let words of love and praise well up naturally from within yourself. When we are praying, we are talking to God, and we are using this chakra when we do so.

There are many mind patterns that hold us in bondage where our spirituality is concerned. Some of these are 'I am not good enough.' 'Why would God want to speak to me?' 'What has God ever done for me?' Many fears and judgments exist. Some of us have battles with God, based on unpleasant experiences where we thought that He should have helped. It is common knowledge that when we are in deep trouble we suddenly decide to try God, and when nothing happens we make the judgment that God has let us down. Confusions exist within many minds about who is God, and is God real? What about Darwin and other scientific theories? This world often seems more real to us than an unseen God, and so long as everything is going along smoothly, the spiritual dimension is ignored and the crown chakra remains closed. When difficulties such as death and major illness arise, it is often this that creates a change of heart. The ego is forced to look beyond its everyday focus and may then start to explore. To make growth and to start to access the beauty that is resplendently present within the crown chakra, a diligent and sustained effort must be maintained.  Spirituality needs to be lived, our actions must bear witness to it. Awakening to your spiritual self is an ongoing journey. Time is needed to assimilate the lessons received and to put them into practice.

These Light Keys are energy bottles holding a particular energy frequency in an alcohol & water solution. When the bottles are held in or near the aura or body they resonate in sympathy with particular chakras and energetic areas of the body to clear, open and align these areas.

Using the Light Keys - Chakra clearing, energising and opening Chakras.
Before I began with the Light Keys I would first make sure the room or space was clear and energised. I would use a room clear spray to clear the room and lift the energy in the room and if I felt a bit heavy use the aura clear or release spray on my aura.

 If I had any general problems or energy to release I would use the chakra and aura release Light Key or an Aura spray.

Once the space, room and aura and clear and energised and aligned with the higher energies I would start to use the light keys to align the chakras. (If you have a clear dedicated mediation space already then you may not need to use the clear sprays above.)

If you are new to the Light Keys then you might like to start with the set of five Light Keys to energise your chakras. You may use a particular Light Key to clear or work on a particular chakra. For working/energising or clearing a particular chakra you can just hold or carry the relevant light key with you so it remains in your energy field. You can also hold the bottle and meditate on your energy field and focus on this area to help work on this area.
I find the Light Keys are most useful every day to align my chakras every morning or after work to retune my energy field to the higher soul and align my energy field with the higher light or purpose in life. The Light Keys help speed up this process like a catalyst to help you re align your energy field or reach that place of peace and stillness in your meditation.

Start with the Chakra Grounding Light Key to clear and align the lower chakras. Hold this bottle until you feel the energy in this area has settled. Then move onto the Heart Chakra Light Key and again tune into this energy area and when you feel this area has stilled and settled and is gently energised. The area should feel energised from the gentle internal energy instead of from external stimulus and links. Then move onto the Crown chakra Clear, and hold this bottle until the area around the crown begins to still and the energy settles to align more abobe the crown. The mind should begin to slow and stimulus should begin to come more from above the crown instead of the mind or emotional solar plexus. Once this area is clear move onto the Light Chakra Link and hold this bottle. This helps to clear the area in between the Crown and the highest chakra and/or the oversoul / inner soul / inner light.
This completed the chakra aligning process. It usually takes me about 2 to 10 minutes, but it can be what ever time you are comfortable with and used to. It may take 1/2 hour.
Once you have cleared all of the chakras the mind should be stilled and the energy aligned in the body to the higher soul. You can then use the Inner Communication Light Key which aligns the upper chakras to aid inner hearing from the inner soul. Hold this bottle on its own or this bottle combined with one of the other light keys Heart, Crown or Light to help keep the mind stilled while you tune into the voice of the higher soul. You can also use this Inner Communication Light Key to help with dreams by leaving it next to your bed at night. 
You can keep one or two of the Light keys on your body after or before you have cleared the chakras just to help keep aligned to a particular energy.

Traffic Light Set. This set is similar to the above set but is more extensive and allows you to align the chakras in particular ways and combine different light keys to clear and energise different areas. This is a more specialist set than the set of five and it helps if you can distinguish the energy of the different chakras to use this set.
