HELPING HAND CHILDRENS ESSENCE ACTION Gives support to children facing challenging separations and helps them to make positive transitions - moving home, starting school, parents This essence will give a feeling of comfort, feeling safe and of being loved. It will have a steadying effect on the child taking it. SUGGESTIONS Role Play - Acting out situations before they are due to take place. Story Telling - Make up stories , or get books from the library talking about where children have faced the same kind of transition and coped well with it. Handling Death - An ongoing spiritual education based on nature and changes that are happening all the time, will help them to assimilate change in their lives too. The death of a pet or of a person needs sensitive handling with children and they need to feel involved in the process of letting go. Tell stories of being born, living, and then of changing onto a new level as with a butterfly. Emphasise the progression of life. Allow children to express their feelings and Visualisation - bedtime visualisations where children can be told simple positive stories about themselves in happy situations can be very helpful. A nice one is where a worry tree is visualised or, it can be drawn out, and they hang their worries onto it. The tree then has their worries and it washes them away. In the morning they are ready to start a fresh new clear day. Impress upon children that they are being taken care of and that they will soon re- settle.

Remember - flower essences do not work all the time for everybody, nor are they a complete or exclusive system of healing for the emotions. They should not be used instead of properly qualified medical or health practitioner advice. Always get an orthodox medical diagnosis, particularly to exclude unsuspected and undiagnosed important illness, and as part of your partnership with health practitioners on your journey of health. |
